An absolutely stunning Adams Carlton House desk in the manner of Angelica Kauffman. Typical form, the superstructure fitted with four banks of two small drawers flanked by curved cupboard doors, each having hand painted full bodied opposing ladies and fitted with a small drawer at each end centered by a leather-lined book stand on ratchet support, the frieze fitted with a center drawer flanked by two drawers on each side raised on square tapering legs. This work of art is meant to sit center stage in any home or office as the sides and back are fully hand painted with floral, swag and vine design. A simply stunning hand painted case with ebony pencil design through. Too much to mention in this seemingly one of a kind desk.
Desk pulls out to form a 19.5 by 27 inch writing surface.
