Vintage Design
The Stacking Chairs have been restored some years ago and have been in use. Karl Schwanzer was one of the most important architects in Austria in the 20th century. He was an assistant of Oswald Haerdtl at the “Akademie für angewandte Kunst Wien” from 1947-1951. Karl Schwanzer became Professor at the Technical University of Vienna in 1959. He was very important in the 1960s besides Roland Rainer. Karl Schwanzer designed the administrative buildings and the museum for BMW in Munich in 1973. BMW Headquarters (German: BMW-Vierzylinder “BMW four-cylinder”; also BMW Tower or BMW Hochhaus) is a Munich landmark which has served as world headquarters for the Bavarian automaker BMW for over 40 years.
