17th century French country oak secrétaire à abattant .This is a lovely and very old piece, the cabinet is tall and narrow, it has a drawer at the top and a fall in the centre with a single shelved cupboard beneath. The interior of the bureau has 8 drawers and 2 ledger shelves beneath. This is a very old piece and it is in good condition for its great age, it is sound the wood has a very attractive finish, there are signs of old wood worm which we have had treated to be on the safe side but the cabinet is made in solid oak it is a very heavy. All in all this is piece is in good condition considering its great age there are old repairs as you would expect. Measure: The cupboard stands 62” high it is 29” wide and 15”deep.
