A fabulous Edwardian three compartmental giltwood overmantle mirror in the manner of Adams, of gorgeous quality and neat proportions. The central bevelled mirror glass plate of rectangular form flanked with two further glass plates, set within a finely carved, moulded giltwood frame with two fluted side pilaster columns with acanthus leaf, flowerhead and trailing foliate motifs. Surmounted with a stepped breakfront cornice with applied sphere detail raised over a beautifully decorated and panelled deep frieze depicting finely carved Neoclassical motifs, comprising of an arrangement of an elegant urn flanked with scrolling foliate to the central panel and shell and wreath detail to both side panels, supported on shaped platform base with flowerhead detail.
