Our versatile ottomans come with matching solid beech trays, so they can easily double as a coffee table when you’re not kicking it back with your feet up. The ottomans are upholstered in linen, raised on beech wood legs and set on chrome castors and boxwood wheels. The trays are also in solid beech. It is thought that ottomans were first introduced to Europe from the Ottoman Empire in the late 18th century. Thomas Jefferson jots down about having bought one in a memorandum book from 1789, possibly their first mention in English. In French they appear as ottomane as early as 1729.
