An exceptional piece of rustic Adirondack furniture from a Lake Sunapee, NH camp circa 1870-1890. This stand features handcrafted birch casing decorated with late Victorian geometric motifs. The tripod legs are crafted almost entirely from a single conjoined branch and carved extensively in the Black Forest manner with scrolling leaves, red roses and a wonderfully toothy lion grotesque.
Table top surface measures 25″ x 13.75″. Overall, 28″ wide x 17.75″ deep x 29.75″ high.
