An 18th century cast and wrought iron register grate. The frieze to the outer frame is divided into three panels each containing a swagged oval paterae it is flanked by a pair of fluted columns which are entwined by stylised vines beneath composite capitals, capped with swagged lidded urns. The wrought iron bar set is finished off with a simple pierced apron and topped off by a pair of Acanthus decorated urn finials.

Note, the front is this piece is a single casting, this has a mistake dating from when it was originally cast, in that one of the footblocks is shorter than the other. This original mistake could be rectified if desired
