A gorgeous 19th Century hall or overmantel giltwood mirror in the manner of Adams and of fabulous quality. The finely hand carved, fluted and moulded giltwood frame with Neoclassical motifs throughout is surmounted with an overhanging stepped cornice with egg and dart moulding above panelled frieze depicting beautiful swags of bell husks, flowerheads, ribbon and applied flowerhead paterae detail. The bevelled mirror glass plate below of rectangular form is flanked with two elegantly simple, fluted pilaster columns with acanthus leaf and trailing bellhusk motifs, supported on shaped platform base.
