This late 19th century hand carved French cherry Louis XIV style armchair features original embroidery depicting an ancient musician flanked by a lady on the back of the seat. The tapestry of the seat shows the same drawing of the time. The hand-carved armrests are turned. with rolled legs and H-stretcher providing stability, this piece is sure to bring a sense of history to any space, circa 1880.
