It is unique, the only known piece, made to order for a special customer. This unique armchair has never been shown in a regular sales catalog. Documents about the armchair were kept only in the in-house archive of the Thonet company. Thonet B 1045 armchair from 1938 is a modernized Thonet armchair Nr.6533 from 1910, designed by Marcel Kammerer. Armchair from the late art nouveau was modified in the style of interwar modernism. The structure of the armchair is made of bent beech wood. Surface finish the wood is original, preserved with a beautiful patina of age. The upholstery is new, including the internal structure. This is a very luxurious work using original technology. The core of the seat is bound springs. The underlying structures are made of traditional natural materials (jute, African grass, etc.). The decor of the cover fabric is woven and is designed by Josef Hoffman.
