A large English Adam-style polished brass fire grate (by Thomas Elsley). The railed serpentine basket above a fret with interrupted flute piercing is set between square tapered legs with large brass urns. Engraving to centre-apron. Wrought-iron fire bars and a decorative fireback. Restored. Height of burning area: 11 1/2″
