1960’s Compact Cabinet With Four Drawer Base. Beautiful simple and classic mid century cabinet sourced in the Czech Republic. The carcass and external frame are made from birch wood and it is original throughout. Czech was a large producer of high quality mid century furniture following the surge of modernism originated by the Bauhaus school. A good practical piece of elegant mid century furniture. The top retains the original glass sliding door and a single wood sliding door. Internal dimensions: Left cabinet 27L x 48W x 49H, wood shelf adjustable with three positions. Right cabinet 27L x 48W x 49H, glass shelf adjustable with three positions, this side would have been used a bar so the shelf is deliberately positioned higher to allow for bottles. The sliding glass doors can close on either side and they open and close smoothly. The bottom cabinet drawers open and shut cleanly. A good practical piece of elegant mid century furniture. We sell high quality vintage and our workshop has gently restored this piece to bring out it’s original colour. When assembled the piece is very strong and stable.
