An Eames lounge chair and ottoman for Herman Miller. This is a gorgeous contemporary edition of the Eames lounger. The Eames lounge chair has been an icon in design since its creation in 1956. This piece defined the standard for mid century modern furniture. The original design was inspired to embody the feeling of a well-worn baseball mitt, combining the then-new technology of bentwood, lightweight and durable aluminum, and high quality textile fabrics. This particular chair features a walnut wood frame, a classic supple black leather upholstery, and an aluminum base. This beautiful chair swivels for convenience, and features a matching ottoman for maximum comfort. The original tags can be found on the underside of both the chair and the ottoman as pictured above. Overall, this piece is in very good condition. It appears as nearly brand new other than a few smalls scuffs and scratches throughout. The chair measures 31.5 inches tall, 33.5 inches wide, and 35 inches deep. The ottoman measures 17.25 inches tall, 20.75 inches wide, and 21.5 inches deep.
