Originally designed to create a visually streamlined appearance over the mantel, this substantial piece can easily complement other large areas as well. A wonderful option to incorporate a classic look of Neoclassical design behind the bar, in the dining room to dress up a buffet table, the formal sitting room over the sofa, also pairs beautifully atop a king-size bed or upright piano.
Adorned with a beautifully carved stepped cornice measuring 5-1/2” at its widest point in the center, tapered to 3” on either end, this piece can easily accommodate florals/garland, or showcase other collectibles to create a custom focal point to suit your personal style and taste. Framed in an inlaid acorn, shell, grape motíf, with floral bouquets, flanking Corinthian columns, and tasseled swags, this traditional piece exudes the elements of timeless elegance and prestige that Neoclassical design is sought and praised for.

Good antique condition with minor wear and crackling observed on frame commensurate with age. Light foxing and faint scratches upon close inspection of mirror plates commensurate with age; however, no major imperfections observed that impede or obstruct reflection. Upon careful observation, two of three mirror plates appear to be original and of the period. The right-sided plate is believed to be a replacement, yet still authenticated at approximately 150+ years of age. Please examine photos carefully for details.
