Giltwood & Gesso Fauteuil in Louis XVI Style. Late 19th Century upholstered armchair w ith a beaded and leaf-carved frame, the padded arched back with a scroll and flower-carved crest above a stuffed seat within padded scroll-ended arms over fluted turned tapering legs with patera-carved headers. Dimensions: 68cm width x 55cm depth x 45cm seat height x 110cm back height. Condition: Solid condition, age and wear, losses to the gesso and gilding on the frame, originally on castors which have been removed, age and marks to the upholstery, would benefit from being professionally cleaned or recovered.
