This sublime large conical Wily Guhl planter is an icon of 1950s design. Use outdoors or indoors for the ultimate decoration.
For the record:
In 1951, the company Eternity AG sought to collaborate with external designers and asked Willy Guhl and his students to work on new plant containers. Eternit, developed for the manufacture of roofs and pipes, is a stable product with a fibrous texture resistant to traction, breakage and climatic variations which contains 10% asbestos. Known since Antiquity, asbestos is then reused in innovative ways by industry. For Guhl, “no construction material used so finely gives as much stability as Eternit”.
