We are delighted to offer this Mid-Century Modern Bernhard Rohne for Mastercraft Acid Etched drinks coffee table A good looking well made and decorative coffee table designed by Bernhard Rohne and retailed by the esteemed American maker, Mastercraft, circa 1970. The brass interior of the frame features organic and futuristic acid etched detailing- suggesting the forms of Yves Tanguy and H.R. Geiger- against a sombre backdrop in hues of moss, sage, umber and juniper. This acid etched brass strip is framed on either side by lacquered wood. The interior of the piece offers a translucent glass panels, imbuing the piece with a greater feeling of lightness. with its beautiful and idiosyncratic decorative details, and iconic design, this cocktail trolley is sure to delight discerning collectors of first rate Mid-Century Modern design, as well as those with a penchant for beautiful objects. The condition is excellent for the period, there may be some light age and use related patina marks here and there, the acid etching beautifully discolours overtime
