Small Gothic Victorian carved oak green man buffet. This is a very fine and superbly carved example of furniture carved in the Gothic style or Green Man oak. The buffet has a three tiers with a carved gallery at the back, there is a drawer beneath the top, the front of this is carved concealing the handles inside large Oak leaves. The decoration on the front columns includes fierce faces of the Green man and at the bottom we can see his hairy claws This is a superb early piece of Green Man oak and dates from circa 1870 it is in fine condition for its 150 or so years of age. Measure: The buffet stands 53” high, 39” wide and it 24” deep, it is 43: too the top counter.
