Vintage Design
This century-old cabinet, in the style of Louis XIV, was made in the region of Pondicherry, a former French trading post in India.
Its molded top is in solid mahogany.
This piece of furniture offers two solid teak frame doors, composed of rosebed panels with flowerbeds and molded in the inside. These doors are fixed on double iron hinges and lock by an original functional lock with key and brass input. The one on the left blocks using a high and low clasp. The interior is garnished with two solid, adjustable mahogany shelves since on racks.
Below, there are two compartmentalized drawers with rosewood facades. They are also equipped with original locks, keys and entries.
The sides have molded frames including seven rectangular flower panels, six of which are of the same dimensions (so-called in “chocolate tablet”).
Nine panels with frames make up the rear. Guided guarantee, this design work avoids, over time, the appearance of space between the panels.
The dimensions and authenticity of this spice cabinet will appeal to lovers of old furniture.
