This is a wonderfully creative Levantine or Syrian cabinet that dates to the late 19th century. It’s style is reminiscent of the work of Carlo Bugatti. This cabinet is intricately detailed in inlaid bone, metal, leather and lacquered paper; it even retains it’s old fringe. Cabinets such as this one are very uncommon and speak to a era of more-is-more design and decoration. In addition to the fantastical decorations, the cabinet features a drop-down spindle decoration small storage at the top and double spindle fronted doors enclosing storage space in the bottom half. This unique cabinet is ready for its next home and its next 100 years of life.
