Vintage Adam’s Style Sterling Silver Condiment Set

This exceptional and large vintage 5 piece condiment set in sterling silver consists of two salts, two pepper pots and a mustard pot.

The peppers of this fine vintage condiment set have an oval shaped form, all in the Adams style.

The surface of each piece is encompassed with two pierced decorated borders accented with scrolling motifs, in addition to central engraved foliate festoon designs.

The decoration to each body incorporates a vacant oval cartouche to one side and a pierced decorated urn motif to the other.

The upper rim of each piece is ornamented with an undulating applied bead decorated border.

The vintage mustard pot is fitted with a scrolling C shaped sterling silver handle with a plain elevated thumbpiece.

The mustard pot retains the original hinged hallmarked plain domed cover.

The pepper pots are fitted with push fit covers with pierced ‘pepper’ holes.

The covers to the mustard pot and pepper pot are surmounted by sterling silver classic urn style finials.

Each salt and mustard pot is fitted with the original, removable blue glass liner.

This vintage silver condiment set is presented with associated hallmarked English sterling silver mustard spoon.

Each component of this exceptional vintage set, crafted by the renowned London silversmiths Asprey & Co Ltd, bears the retailer’s mark ‘Asprey, London’ to the underside.

The pieces of this vintage 5 piece condiment set are an exceptional gauge of silver, exceptional quality and are in exceptional presentation condition.
The applied decoration is all sharp and the bright cut engraved decoration is all very crisp.
Full hallmarks struck to each piece, in addition to part hallmarks to each cover are all very clear.
