Vintage Design
1930’s Pair of Webbed Bentwood Armchairs by Jan Vanek – made by Czech producer Up Zavody. Jan Vanek was one of the leading designers and interior architects in Czech in the early 20th Century, notably he designed furniture for Villa Tugendhat, designed by Ludwig Mies van der Rohe and built in Brno in the 1920’s. The chairs are in exceptional condition and feature their original finish and webbing. The steamed bentwood frame is an amazing piece of design and the chairs exude originality. Seat Height: 39cm
