This is a absolutely exquisite antique Pietra Dura Italian Specimen Marble chess board table, William IV circa 1830 This is one of the most exceptional chess tables I have ever seen, it is circa 1830, Italian Pietra Dura marble which is the equivalent to marquetry inlay but with marble. It is beautifully crafted and looks expensive and important in any setting. The base is original made from very fine mahogany that has been expertly crafted In terms of the condition the timber has been deep cleaned, hand condition waxed and hand polished, it will have normal age and use related patina marks here and there
